How To Set Up Your Cricut and Make Your First Design

    July 1, 2020 /

Step by Step Guide CRICUT EXPLORE AIR 2 Wow! I am so in love with my new machine the Circut Explore Air 2. I did not realize all of its capability and all of its magic till this week. I have made so many fun things from faux earrings, customized shirts, koozies, to a welcome sign. The sky is the limit with this thing. And if you have kids like me, I was always ordering their birthday shirts with their names on it or matching mommy and me things. So I feel like I have already made my money back because now I will design and make our own shirts,…

HOW TO MAKE AWESOME TIE DYE SHIRTS WITH YOUR KIDS

    June 25, 2020 /

Well we hopped on the tie dye train and decided to make some fun shirts. It was super simple because I bought this tie dye kit off Amazon. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy arts and crafts outdoors. I love creating and be outside making something fun with my kids. However, make sure you are prepared. I also saw the kits at Walmart, Micheal’s, Hobby Lobby and more. This one arrived pretty fast. I loved how easy it was to mix the dye and water and we still made a beautiful mess, ended up with blue hands, and created some cool shirts! Materials Space. Table or place where you…

31 Clever Ways to Keep Your Kids Busy While Mom Works

    June 12, 2020 /

    1. Movie and Popcorn You can never go wrong turning on a Disney movie and making popcorn while Mom works. Depending on the child you make get a good hour to work while they watch their favorite movie. I try to make it a big deal and have movie day once a week. All other days we are pretty busy and active. 2. Play Dough Activities Play dough is a great sensory activity. You can practice making letters, using cookie cutters, and let your kids imaginations run wild here. I let mine play with it on the table or outside. The can make insects, caterpillars, butterflies, faces, use scissors to…

Easy Peezy Dino Crafts My little boy loves dinosaurs right now so we had a whole week dedicated to the letter D. We made a few fun easy crafts out of construction paper and glue. We also made dinosaur fossils out of salt dough using only 2 ingredients. Materials Construction Paper Glue Eyes Scissors Construction Paper Crafts Each day I cut out construction paper like this and have it ready to go and we make different things. This week we made dinosaurs. Last week ice cream. It is so much fun to see what your kids create and design. These turned out so cute. We also made a cute Dino…

    Easy Peezy Puffy Paint

    June 4, 2020 /

We are having a lot of fun over here making messes and mixing things. I officially have a yellow rug after todays activity. We learned about mixing colors. My little boy learned that yellow and blue can make green. He was pretty fascinated by making puffy paint. It is super easy and super simple to make. It only requires 3 ingredients. Materials Shaving Cream (1/2 cup) Elmers Glue (1 cup) Food coloring (10 drops) PUFFY PAINT STEPS Step 1: Pour the ingredients into a bowl and mix. I let my kids do this part on their own. Step 2: Depening on what you make choose the food color you want.…
