D is for Dino

Easy Peezy Dino Crafts

My little boy loves dinosaurs right now so we had a whole week dedicated to the letter D. We made a few fun easy crafts out of construction paper and glue. We also made dinosaur fossils out of salt dough using only 2 ingredients.

Materials

  1. Construction Paper
  2. Glue
  3. Eyes
  4. Scissors

Construction Paper Crafts

Each day I cut out construction paper like this and have it ready to go and we make different things. This week we made dinosaurs. Last week ice cream. It is so much fun to see what your kids create and design. These turned out so cute. We also made a cute Dino out of the small letter d. Again, super easy crafts and your kids will love them!!

Dot Stickers D

Next, I designed the big letter D and small letter d for letter recognition and color identification. You have them use the dot sticker for each color. This is great to improve their fine motor skills. If you would like this free printable subscribe below and I will send it directly to your inbox. This was super fun for my little girl to do.

Dino Fossils

So we tried this twice till we got the right amount and perfect consistency. It was so much fun!

Materials

  1. 1 cup of flour
  2. 1 cup of salt
  3. 1/2 cup of warm water

Mix and knead and roll out. Then make impressions with your plastic dinosaurs. We baked this at 200F and let it harden. It came out so good. You can also add food coloring to the mix or paint your fossils afterwards. Read more on my blog post Easy Peezy Salt Douh.
